Sound Engineering

Sound Engineering

The Sound Engineer handles all the music technical things in the recording studio. The Sound Engineer, in cooperation with the Music Producer, deals in particular with:

  • the recording method
  • the acoustics of the recording room
  • the microphones, microphone techniques and setups
  • the mixing consoles, both analog and digital
  • the audio connections, both analog and digital
  • the speakers
  • the monitoring for the musicians
  • the mixing techniques, equalizers, compressors, effects, sounds,
  • analog and digital

Where in the past the “Sound Engineering” was taken care of by the music technician, this “task” is now often taken on account and combined with the role of the Music Producer. If necessary, for example for a large band or large project, a separate Sound Engineer is deployed.

Crazy Cats Music Productions has its own professional recording and mixing room. The recording room is homely and warm. If necessary, use is made of another recording space, for example that of Woodstock Vintage Recording Studio. Crazy Cats Music Productions’ equipment is professional and from premium and innovative brands. With us, sound engineering always goes hand in hand with Music Producing, and cannot be purchased as a separate service.

Live Mixing & Recording

Live Mixing & Recording

Live mixing turns out to be a difficult job. What we often see is that live mixing is left to – with all due respect – “roadies” because there’s no budget left for a mixing engineer or not thought to be important. The people who build and connect the sound system (the roadies) often also do the mixing. Mixing, in the studio and live, is a real profession that should not be underestimated.

For the musician / band it can be very frustrating if the sound of their music is not good. You do not only want a good sound and hear yourself well ‘on stage’, you also want the people who have taken the trouble to come to your performance to be treated to a beautiful sound that matches your music.

At Crazy Cats Music Productions you have come to the right place. Certified and experienced Music Producer & Sound Engineer Marcel Engelbertink can be hired for live mixing and possibly recording your performance.

Our rates include professional sound and light. For performances up to approx. 200 people.

Band and Individual Coaching

Band and Individual Coaching

Each band has its own strengths, but also points for development. The latter in particular is often a blind spot. To grow as a band and to get the best out of yourself, means that we always offer customization. Per band and band member we look at what is needed to further help the band in achieving their own goals.

Aspects of band coaching are for example:

  • How do you work together and give each other feedback with the aim of taking the band to a higher level?
  • What is the role of each instrument?
  • Do you have your own sound and how can you amplify (realize) it?
  • How do you write your own number?
  • What do you want to develop yourself in and how do you do that?
  • How do you arrange performances and what do you need for that?
  • How do you ensure “the right sound” during your performances?

Aspects of individual coaching are, for example:

  • What musical talent were you born with?
  • What is your dream in the music world?
  • What would you give to realize that dream?
  • What do you need from us to make that dream come true?

We can also work on your performance, for example for the different performances that you can do during the year. Band coaching is available for both beginning and experienced singers, singer songwriters and bands. A concrete plan is drawn up together that is translated into concrete activities.
